A Global Entertainment Summit & Award Ceremony

Entertainment Week Ghana will feature a high-impact summit with panel discussions led by top creative stakeholders, industry executives, and international firms. These discussions will explore key topics, including digital transformation, content monetization, and the evolving business of entertainment. In addition, a bespoke award ceremony will recognize 15 exceptional individuals who have made significant contributions to the entertainment landscape, honoring creatives across various disciplines and boosting visibility for both established and emerging talents.

A Deal Room for Innovation & Investment

A key highlight of the event is the Deal Room—an exclusive space designed to connect venture capital firms with innovators who are using technology to drive forward creative solutions in entertainment. Selected entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas to a panel of investors and industry leaders, fostering funding opportunities and strategic partnerships.

A Vision for Excellence, Inclusion & Government Backing

Speaking on the inspiration behind Entertainment Week Ghana, Co-founder De Graft Oppong emphasized the need to celebrate excellence and support marginalized creatives who have long been overlooked. “This platform was born out of the urgency to recognize and empower creatives while providing the capacity-building tools necessary for long-term success,” he stated.

The event has already received government backing from the Ministry for Youth Development and Empowerment and Diaspora Affairs, Ghana.

  • Hon. Yaw Opare Addo, Minister of Youth Development and Empowerment, remarked, “I believe this is a great addition to the entire campaign; the inclusion of tech and innovation in entertainment for the youth is a solid step.”
  • Hon. Kofi Okyere Darko, Director of Diaspora Affairs Ghana, added, “This is a great initiative, and the fact that it’s open to people from the diaspora and beyond is a step in the right direction.”

A Game-Changer for Africa’s Creative Economy

With its mix of insightful discussions, investment opportunities, and high-profile recognition, Entertainment Week Ghana is set to redefine how Africa’s entertainment industry is positioned on the global stage. The initiative was set up by three pioneering entities—Blacvolta Multimedia, Party Extra, and Q Bespoke—whose collaborative efforts underscore the event’s commitment to innovation and inclusion.
